Boil Cure Potion

Ingredients
  • Dried Nettles
  • Snake Fangs
  • Three Horned Slugs
  • Your Size Handful of Porcupine Quills
Spells and CharmsYou Will Need
  • Bluebell Flames
  • Aguamenti Charm (Aguamenti)
Lab Supplies You Will Need
  • Stirring Stick
  • Cauldron
  • Knife
  • Mortar and Pestle
  • Measuring Spoons
Procedure
  • Using bluebell flames, heat cauldron to 54 degrees celsius.
  • Once heated, add three horned slugs to the cauldron.
  • While the slugs stew, crush your snake fangs with the mortar and pestle.
  • Add the crushed snake fangs.
  • Stir twice, counter-clockwise.
  • At this point, the potion should be emitting a white smoke.
  • Add five dried nettles.
  • Allow to simmer for a minute and a half.
  • With the aid of the Aguamenti Charm , add three cups of water to your cauldron.
  • Add a handful of porcupine quills.
  • Stir twice clockwise.
  • Cover mixture and allow to simmer for nine minutes.
  • Uncover the cauldron.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Potion is ready to serve once cooled.
    Makes four servings.

Polyjuice Potion

Ingredients
  • Two Leeches
  • Your Size Handful of Knotgrass
  • Half an ounce of lacewing flies.
  • Bicorn Horn
  • One Ounce of Fluxweed.
  • One Boomslang Skin
  • A bit of whomever you wish to turn into.
    i.e. hair strand, fingernail, etc.

Procedure
    There are some things that must be done before you ever begin concocting your potion.
  • Heat your cauldron to 124 degrees celsius, using bluebell flames.
  • Add the lacewing flies.
  • Stew the lacewing flies for twenty one days.
  • Gather your fluxweed on the last full moon before the concoction.
    Once these are done, you may begin concocting your polyjuice potion.
  • After the twenty one days have passed, add two full and bloody leeches.
    - Curiously, the blood on which the leeches have feasted does not conflict with the potion.
  • Add a handful of knotgrass.
  • Allow to simmer for three hours.
  • Ground your bicorn horn until it is a fine powder.
  • Slice your fluxweed, creating thin slices.
  • After the three hours is up, add your bicorn powder.
  • Add the fluxweed next.
  • Add the bloomslang skin.
  • Allow potion to simmer until it is ready for use.
  • Just before use, add the bit of whomever you want to turn into before you drink, to ensure that the effects last the full hour.

Ingredients

  • Moonstone

  • Cauldron

  • Mortor and Pestle
Procedure
  • Cast bluebell flames beneath your cauldron, letting the temperature rise until it is at 72 degrees celsius.
  • You will have to wait thirty minutes after heating to begin, so this is best done early, before you are ready to begin.
  • Use the mortar and pestlel to grind the moonstone into a fine powder.
  • Chop your daisy roots.

  • Once thirty minutes have passed, add three cups of water.
  • Add your chopped daisy roots.
  • Stir two times clockwise.
  • Stir five times counter-clockwise.

  • Add two drops of syrup of hellebore.

Procedure
  • Note: This is a no-heat potion, so do not worry about heating it.
  • With the aid of the Aguamenti Charm , add two cups of water to your cauldron.
  • Pour two teaspoons or wormwood infusion into your potion, stirring as you add it.
  • Allow the wormwood to dissolve into the water.
  • Take this time to grind the asphodel root into a fine powder, using the mortar and pestle.
  • Add one teaspoon of powdered root of asphodel.
  • Add three droplets of dragon's blood.
  • Stir three times counter-clockwise.
  • Stir once clockwise.
  • Allow the ingredients to settle before consuming.

Ingredients

  • Aconite

  • Knife
  • Mortor and Pestle
Procedure
  • Cast bluebell flames beneath your cauldron, letting the temperature rise until it is at 57 degrees celsius.
  • Once the temperature has reached the desired level, fill your cauldron three fourths of the way full with water.
  • While waiting for the water to boil, chop the valerian root and aconite.
  • Once the water is at full boil, add the chopped valerian root, and then the aconite directly after.
  • While waiting for the valerian root and the aconite to disolve in the boiling water, crush the alihosty stems with the flat of your blade.
  • Hold the crushed stems over the cauldron, letting the juice drip into the potion below.
  • The alihosty should disolve quickly into the potion.
  • Next add three doxy eggs to your potion, letting them slide slowly into the liquid.
  • Let the potion stand, still boiling, for ten minutes.
  • After the ten minutes has passed, stir your potion six times clockwise.
  • Stir once counter clockwise.
  • Remove the bluebell flames.
  • Let stand for twelve more minutes, or until still.
Other Characteristics of the Potion :
  • Must be black in colour.
  • A thin liquid, it is about the same consistency as water.
  • Will only work against doxies from a compressed container.
  • If the ingredients do not dissolve correctly, this potion is intensely lethal to Muggles and Magical folk alike.

Procedure
  • Cast bluebell flames beneath your cauldron and let the termperature rise until it is at 31 degrees celsius.
  • Crack one runespoor egg into your cauldron, being careful to not let any shell fall in.
  • Stir the egg twice clockwise.
  • While waiting for the egg to scramble, you may crush your moonstone, using the mortor and pestle, to a fine powder.
  • When the eggs are a creamy sage green, and fluffy but not dry, add the pomegranate juice.
  • Stir the egg and juice together until the colour of the pomegranate overtakes the green.
  • Add the powdered moonstone, being careful to stir it into the potion as you pour.
  • Let the jobberknoll feathers fall into the potion.
  • Stir clockwise slowly for thirteen turns.
  • Stir counter clockwise, normally, for twenty three turns.
  • The potion should be complete and ready to digest.

  • Should be a bright magenta in colour, with speckles of blackish green.
  • Should be thick and clear.
  • Has a hearty, fruity flavour, with a light sulfuric after taste.

Procedure
  • Note: This is a no-heat potion, so do not worry about heating it.
  • Halve your leeches.
  • Grind your bicorn horn into a fine grain, using the mortor and pestle.
  • With the aid of the Aguamenti Charm , add half a cup of water to your cauldron.
  • Add the handful of knotgrass.
  • Stir twice counter-clockwise.
  • Add the three halved leeches.
  • Allow the potion to sit for two minutes.
  • Add an ounce of powdered bicorn horn.
  • By now, you should be able to inhale a strong vinegar odor.
  • Add the unicorn horn.
  • Stir an additional three times counter-clockwise.
  • Stir once once clockwise.
  • Allow the potion to sit for seven and a half minutes.
  • Note : Do not ingest this potion, as it will make you terribly ill. This solution is to be used externally only!

Procedure
  • Note: This is a no-heat potion, so do not worry about heating it.
  • Pour three and a half cups of armadillo bile into your cauldron.
  • Cut the ginger root up, into tiny chunks.
  • Add the ginger root, and stir twice counter-clockwise.
  • Ground the scarab beetles to a thin grain.
  • Add scarab beetles.
  • Proceed to stir for two minutes straight in any direction.
  • After stirring, you may drink as needed.
Other Characteristics of the Potion :
  • Very easy to ingest.
  • No odor is given off.
  • Murky white in appearance.

Procedure
  • Note: Heat Cauldron AFTER you have added all the ingredients.
  • Chop the daisy roots, and add them to your cauldron.
  • Peel the shrivelfig and add to the sliced roots.
  • Add the caterpillar to the mixture carefully.
  • Add whole rat's spleen.
  • Lastly, add two spoonfuls of leech juice.
  • Heat cauldron, until the mixture bubbles.
  • Once bubbling, take it off the fire.
  • Stir nine times counter-clockwise.
  • Once cool, serve and apply.
  • Remember: This is a solution and they are usually applied, rather than ingested.
    You probably could ingest this, but it wouldn't taste that great.

    Procedure
    • Using the Aguamenti Charm, measure three cups of water into your cauldron.
    • Add the thirteen black beetle eyes.
    • Stir twice clockwise.
    • Add the two drops of dragon's blood.
    • Allow to simmer for six minutes.
    • Add the ashwinder egg.
    • Once the egg is in the cauldron, the potion should emit a crimson vapor.
    • Stir the potion three times counter-clockwise, while adding the pepper.
    • Allow the potion to simmer for a further three minutes.
    • Once the potion has cooled enough so that it's safe to drink, it can be taken.

    Gregory's Unctuous Unction

    Ingredients
    • Ashwinder Eggs (frozen)

    • Sneezewort

    Lab Supplies You Will Need
    • Stirring Stick
    • Copper Cauldron
    • Knife
    • Mortor and Pestle
    Procedure
    • With the aid of the Aguamenti Charm , fill your Copper Cauldron half way full.
    • Let the water rest until is even and unmoving.
    • Once the water in your cauldron is still, cast bluebell flames beneath it in the burner, letting the temperature rise until it is at 36 degrees celsius.
    • While waiting for the temperature to level, you may crush your Moonstone in the mortor and pestle to a fine powder.
    • When the temperature is as requested, add the Frozen Ashwinder Egg . Do so carefully, letting the egg slip into the water until it floats and then settles to the bottom of the cauldron. Tiny bubbles should begin to come from beneath the egg and rise to the surface.
    • Once the egg is surrounded by little bubbles rushing to the surface, add your finely crushed Moonstone . The bubbles should subside and the liquid turn into a cloudy pink.
    • After adding the Moonstone , strip the leaves from the Sneezewort , crumple them up, and drop them into the potion.
    • Next lower the Lovage slowly into the potion.
    • Set your timer to two minutes, then after the time is up, begin to stir counter-clockwise swiftly.
    • After fifty six counter-clockwise turns, remove your stirring stick from the potion. It should now be complete.

    • Should be a purplish-pink in colour.
    • Should be cloudy, but not thick.
    • Has a tangy, citrus smell and flavour.
